5. WINNER SELECTION AND ODDS OF WINNING
On or about OCTOBER, 8 2026, one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received through each league-specific Contest entry page, for a total of three (3) selected entrants:
- one (1) selected entrant from the OHL entry pool;
- one (1) selected entrant from the WHL entry pool; and
- one (1) selected entrant from the QMJHL entry pool.
The draws will be conducted electronically by the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL).
The odds of winning in each league-specific draw depend on the total number of eligible entries received through the applicable league-specific Contest entry page during the Contest Period.
6. SKILL-TESTING QUESTION
Before being declared the winner and receiving the prize, the selected entrant must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical, electronic or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor or its representative.
Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly will result in disqualification, and the Sponsor may select another entrant by random draw from the remaining eligible entries in the applicable league-specific entry pool.
7. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND PRIZE CLAIM
The selected entrant will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number provided with their Contest entry. The selected entrant must respond to the Sponsor or its designated representative within THREE (3) business days of the first notification attempt.
As a condition of being declared the winner, the selected entrant may be required to:
- confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements;
- correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question;
- provide valid identification or other reasonable evidence of eligibility; and
- provide any information reasonably required to arrange delivery or collection of the prize.
If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within the required period, does not respond as instructed, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, fails to provide required information or evidence of eligibility, declines the prize, or is otherwise found to be ineligible or in violation of these Official Rules, the selected entrant will be disqualified and will forfeit the prize.
The CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL) may then conduct another random draw from the remaining eligible entries in the applicable league-specific entry pool to select an alternate entrant.
The prize will be delivered or made available for collection within a reasonable period following confirmation of the winner.
8. PERSONAL INFORMATION AND PRIVACY
Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used for the purposes of administering the Contest, verifying eligibility, contacting selected entrants, fulfilling the prize and otherwise operating the Contest in accordance with these Official Rules.
Personal information will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Sponsor’s applicable privacy policy, available at https://www.echo.ca/privacy-policy, and applicable Canadian privacy laws.
Entry into the Contest does not require an entrant to consent to receiving promotional or marketing communications from ECHO or any other party.
Where an entrant is separately given the opportunity to opt in to marketing communications, any such consent will be voluntary and will not affect the entrant’s chances of winning.
Information may be shared with the Sponsor’s service providers, Contest administrator, the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL), the applicable CHL Member League, or other parties only to the extent reasonably necessary to administer and fulfill the Contest, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
9. PUBLICITY
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Sponsor, the ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE (OHL), the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE (WHL), the QUEBEC MARITIMES JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE (QMJHL) and the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL) may identify the winner by their first name, last initial, city and province or territory of residence in connection with announcing the results of the Contest.
Any broader use of the winner’s photograph, image, likeness, voice, biography or other personal attributes for advertising or promotional purposes will be subject to applicable law and any additional consent or release reasonably required by the Sponsor.
10. GENERAL CONDITIONS
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whom it reasonably believes has:
- violated these Official Rules;
- tampered or attempted to tamper with the entry process or operation of the Contest;
- submitted fraudulent or misleading information;
- used automated or prohibited entry methods;
- attempted to obtain more entries than permitted; or
- acted in a disruptive, abusive or unsportsmanlike manner in connection with the Contest.
If, for any reason, the Contest cannot be operated as originally planned due to circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, including technical failures, computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, system failures or other circumstances that compromise the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the Contest.
Where reasonably possible, the Sponsor may award the prize from among eligible entries received before the event giving rise to the modification, suspension or cancellation.
The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision.
11. INTERNET AND TECHNICAL ISSUES
The Sponsor, the ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE (OHL), the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE (WHL), the QUEBEC MARITIMES JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE (QMJHL), and the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL), their respective member clubs and their respective affiliates, representatives, agencies and service providers are not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, illegible, corrupted, misdirected or not received because of technical, hardware, software, network, Internet or other communications problems beyond their reasonable control.
They are also not responsible for any interruption, error, omission, deletion, defect, delay, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or any other technical problem that may affect an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
12. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by applicable law, by entering the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, the ONTARIO HOCKEY LEAGUE (OHL), the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE (WHL), the QUEBEC MARITIMES JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE (QMJHL), the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE (CHL), their respective member clubs, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, advertising and promotional agencies, Contest administrators and service providers (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from claims arising directly from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
The Released Parties make no representation or warranty regarding the prize except for any applicable manufacturer warranty expressly provided with the applicable ECHO products.
13. DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW
The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Official Rules limits any rights or remedies available to an entrant under applicable consumer protection or other laws that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
14. DISCREPANCIES
In the event of a discrepancy or inconsistency between these Official Rules and any Contest advertising, promotional material, social media post, entry page, announcement or other Contest-related communication, these Official Rules will govern to the extent permitted by applicable law.
